Wake Up From Sim ("we," "us," "our") operates the Wake Up From Sim mobile and web app (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

This policy explains what personal information Wake Up From Sim collects, why, and what you can do about it. Wake Up From Sim is run by [Savitha Puttasome Gowda, Bangalore, Karnataka, India] ("we"). It covers our website (wakeupfromsim.com), our blog, our apps and tools (the hub app, the Avatar Profile Quiz, the Pattern Decoder and the Clue Spotter), and our landing pages and emails.

1. What we collect and why

• Your name and email address, when you sign up for the free guide, a tool, a waitlist or a purchase. We use them to send what you asked for and, updates and offers from Wake Up From Sim. 
• Purchase details. Payments go through Razorpay (for rupee payments) and PayPal (for international payments). We don't see or store your card or bank details. We keep a record of what you bought, when, and the email used, so we can give you access and handle refunds.
• The Pattern Decoder. We don't save what you write. Your entries are sent to an AI service (Anthropic [confirm provider]) to be read, and the result is sent back to you. The service usually deletes entries within 30 days. If its safety systems flag an entry, it may keep it longer. It does not use them to train its AI. We store a random ID in your browser and keep simple counts for your browser and network so we can limit how often the tool is used. We also keep anonymous counts, such as how many people use it. We never store what you write. 
• The Clue Spotter. Your answers are saved in your own browser on your own device. We don't see them and we don't keep them on our servers. 
• Website and cookies. The site uses cookies to analyze traffic. 
• Messages to us. If you write to us, we keep your message and our reply.
• The Avatar Profile Assessment. When you take the assessment we collect your email address, your first name (optional), and your 25 answers. From your answers we calculate and save your scores, your Avatar Type and your strongest and weakest skills, so your result can be shown to you again. If you unlock the full report, we also create a private practice dashboard for you, which stores what you enter there (check-ins, notes, reflections, weekly plans and weekly reviews) and your reminder settings. We use this to show you your results, run your dashboard, send you your links and the reminder emails you asked for, take payment, and see how many people use each part of the product. We do not ask you to create an account or password. We do not store your card or bank details: payments are handled by Razorpay and PayPal. We do not sell your information. If you want your quiz data or dashboard deleted, email support@wakeupfromsim.com.

2. Who handles your information

We use these services to run Wake Up From Sim: Systeme.io (emails, sign-up pages and checkout pages), Razorpay and PayPal (payments), Google Firebase (hosting and our apps), Anthropic (the AI used by the Pattern Decoder) and Formspree. They process information on our behalf and under their own terms. Some of them are based outside India, so your information may be processed in other countries. We don't sell your information.

3. How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you ask us to remove it or you unsubscribe. We keep purchase records for as long as we need them for refunds, tax and accounts. Pattern Decoder entries are not kept by us.

4. Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from any email using the link in it. You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to withdraw a consent you gave, by writing to support@wakeupfromsim.com. We'll reply within a reasonable time.

5. Who this is for

Our tools, quiz and products are for adults, aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us information, write to us and we'll delete it. 

6. Education, not therapy

Our content and tools are for education and curiosity. They are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. If anything you read or write feels heavy, please talk to someone you trust or a professional. If you are in danger right now, contact your local emergency services.

7. Changes

We'll update this page when things change and show the date at the top. For big changes, we'll tell people on our email list.
